Those first few precious days of baby's life pass in a dazed blink of an eye and you barely have a second to take it all in and treasure the preciousness of those first beautiful fleeting hours. This 60 minute photoshoot takes place at the hospital in the days following the birth and is completely natural, unposed and unobtrusive. The aim of the session is to capture the beautiful new bond of love and connection between you and your baby, as well as to document all those gorgeous baby details.

I deliberately do not fill up my schedule so that I have plenty of flexibility for my newborn clients. Just keep me informed throughout your pregnancy of any changes and let me know ASAP once the baby is born so that we can reschedule.
You're going to have enough to think about when it comes to this time, so you don't have to bring anything. However, if you would like baby in a particular outfit for the photos then make sure you have it packed in your hospital case early. We will discuss all of the details of the session when you book so you will feel much more informed and ready.
A lot of women worry about this when it comes to the Fresh 48 session. They worry mostly about what they will look like in the photos or that they will be too tired to do the session. Firstly, you don't need to worry if you want to cancel the session that is fine and the deposit can be put towards a newborn session instead. But most importantly whatever fears you have about this session, trust me it will be worth it and you will be soooooo pleased that you did it. The session is completely relaxed - you don't even have to get out of bed and if you're really not feeling like being photographed then we can work with different angles to get beautiful photos that you're completely comfortable with. The session takes around 45 minutes so it will be over before you know it and then when you're at home with your beautiful newborn and the first few days is fading into a sleep-deprived haze you will receive your Fresh 48 gallery and you will love it.
Most hospitals have no issues with a photographer coming into the room for an hour, but it's best just to check on your next appointment and let me know if there is anything I need to do to get permission.
